Find Us Faithful
Revelation 2:8-11
"To the angel of the church in Smyrna...Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life."
(REVELATION 2:8, 10)
Of the seven churches of Revelation, Smyrna experienced suffering and persecution yet was faithful to God, trusting and relying on His promises. Faithfulness comes from keeping our focus on Jesus and realizing that Jesus declared, "As the Father has sent me, I am sending you" (John 20:21).
Having changed locations a number of times in ministry, we have passed on to believing friends the privilege of carrying the torch of faith. What greater honor and privilege could we have than this? Our role is to tell of the Good News concerning Jesus, to allow others to see Him and His joy in us. On our own we can't do this, but we have the power of the Holy Spirit within us. We're part of an ongoing mission taking place throughout the entire world. Until that day when we see Him again and our joy is made complete, we keep Christ at the center of our lives. "For what is our hope, our joy... in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you? Indeed, you are our glory and joy" (1 Thessalonians 2:19-20).

WHAT RACE ARE YOU RUNNING
Life is a race. The only question is which race are you running. There is a big difference between an Olympic race, the rat race, and the race Jesus calls us to run. Which race are you running today?
